Sano Longevity Is Cash-Pay Only. Here Is Why.

A decade inside the OR with metabolic disease

The average insurance-billed primary care appointment in the United States is 12 minutes. That is the operating constraint of insurance medicine. Reimbursement structures reward short, billable visits. They do not reward long appointments, individualized plans, or testing that prevents disease before it starts.

Longevity medicine cannot be practiced in 12 minutes.

90% of her work happened outside the OR

Sano Longevity is cash-pay so Dr. Sweeney can spend 60 to 90 minutes with each patient at the roadmap appointment. She can run the testing that insurance does not cover, like VO2 max, body composition, resting metabolic rate, fasting insulin, and the Omega-3 index. She can build an individualized plan from the actual data, not from a formula. She can answer the questions that primary care does not have time to answer. The price of that model is on this page. The trade-off is that you get a board-certified surgeon who has spent more than a decade operating on the consequences of metabolic disease, not a 12-minute slot in a high-volume practice.
“Your primary care doctor calculates your metabolic rate from a formula. We measure it.” Dr. Meredith Sweeney, MD, FACS, FASMBS

She founded Sano Longevity in March 2025

Sano Longevity is HSA and FSA eligible. Receipts are provided for reimbursement documentation. There is no surprise billing. The full cost of each membership is on this page. No fine print, no hidden fees, no upsells at the appointment.
